A former journalist from The
Times of India, Rahul went on to start one of the most controversial
initiatives in Indian media, Medianet, whereby editorial spaces of
the Times of India city supplements went paid for individual &
brand endorsements. He has had more than a decade of experience in
the corporate world before starting on his own, as
sub-editor-cum-reporter with The Times of India, Senior
Manger-cum-Head Russian operations with Core Healthcare, Head
Corporate Communications with Travelite, Co-founder & COO news
portal www.indiareacts.com & Head Medianet, Bennet & Coleman
Group.
In 2003 Rahul left his highly coveted assignment with the Times
Group and started his own company-Brandsmith, a name that is today
increasingly recognized as a leading integrated Media, Niche Events,
Business Consulting, Brand Management & Promotions Company,
cutting across clients from varied fields. Rahul has featured in
leading magazines, newspapers & television channels for his
innovative practices & unique events and is a well known name in
the corporate, diplomatic & media circles.
Rahul has traveled extensively in India & around the world and
is fond of reading, writing & meeting achievers and emerging
leaders in various fields. An Alumni of Jawahar Lal Nehru
University, he majored in International studies with a
specialization in Diplomacy, prior to which he studied political
Science (Hons) at Hindu College, Delhi University & finished his
high school from Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Delhi.
