In a bid to strengthen cultural, diplomatic & business ties between India & the entire Latin American belt, former Union Minister Sukdev Singh Dhindsa launched the Indo-Latin American Friendship Association in the capital recently.

“India & Latin America have shared historic ties in the past. We not only share our ancient civilizations & rich cultural heritage, but also our passion for spiritual enlightenment,” said an upbeat Dhindsa, President ILAFA.

Minister for State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur was the guest of honour along with Ambassadors and senior diplomats from Latin American countries like El Salvador, Venezuela, Colombia, Dominic Republic, Cuba, Argentina, Paraguay and Ecuador amongst others.

Leading saxophonist Jogi belted out popular Spanish numbers with prominent attendees being Venezuelan Ambassador to India Milena Santana-Ramirez, El Salvador Ambassador Patrcia Figueroa Rodriguez, Dominican Republic's Hans Dannenberg Castellanos, Paraguay’s Genaro Vicente Pappalardo, Ecuadorian envoy Carlos Abad, Rahul Mittra CEO Brandsmith & Director ILAFA, Padamshree Dr Sanjeev Bagai, Harmeet Singh Sodhi Secretary General ILAFA, Saugata Mitra Group Head HR Mother Dairy, Gallup India Strategic head Vikas Chaturvedi, hotelier Amrit Pal Bajaj, Media baron Harmander Singh Sran, Ajay Sachdeva MD Hallmark India, Gurinder Singh Rance CEO Meditech Advisory, Tarot card reader Tripti Chitkara, amongst others from the world of diplomacy, bureaucracy, corporate affairs and media.
